Spend a weekend immersed in the Green Mountains of Vermont, reveling in many simple and uplifting pleasures. Yoga Camp is all about unplugging for a bit while enjoying yoga, meditation, good food and friends. You can hike, hot tub, relax in your yurt, soak in the views, wander around the farm - whatever your heart desires! This is your weekend to rejuvenate, connect and savor all of the beautiful elements of this retreat.

Beyond The Mat Yoga Retreat

a 7-night, 8-day yoga retreat in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica filled with yoga, good food, friends, sun and sand. This unique retreat will give you tools to integrate yoga into more aspects of your life.


This retreat is for you if:

  • Want to enjoy sun, beach & warm weather in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica!


This package includes:

  • 7 night, 8 day stay at Otro Lado Lodge in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

  • Daily breakfast

  • 3 family-style dinners made by our house private chef (see sample menu below)

  • Retreat manual for you to bring home

  • One group excursion. Details TBA.

  • Daily morning meditation

  • Daily yoga practice taught by Caitlin and Sarah

  • All workshops

  • After-dinner activities


What a typical day will look like:

All activities are optional. Each morning will start with a morning meditation (ideally on the beach), followed by either breakfast or a morning yoga practice. In the afternoon, there will be lots of time to sun on the beach, participate in that day’s workshop (or one group excursion), or explore to town of Santa Teresa. Lunch is available at many local vendors and restaurants for around $10/meal. We will gather as a group for the evening; yoga, dinner, and a group activity for the night. Each day will be different and we will keep participants up to date day to day. Yoga classes will vary from a high energy flow to restorative. This retreat is open to everyone - yogis and non-yogis alike!


A special message from our chef!:

The menu for the week will rely heavily on what can be sourced from the coast and the market, aiming to include locally caught seafood and meat from the surrounding area and produce of the Caribbean. I’ll be looking for the best chocolate, coffee, and citrus for desserts. Everyone can expect family style dining so we can all eat as a group and share plates together. An example for a night:

  • Sea bass ceviche with breadfruit chips as a snack or an appetizer

  • Shaved pumpkin and jicama salad

  • Lentil, papaya and grapefruit salad

  • Blistered plantains with honey

  • Whole grilled red snapper with local herbs and Caribbean seasonings

  • Lime tart with lime caramel



  • Saturday - Saturday, April 2nd - 9th, 2016. Arrival Saturday April 2nd and departure Saturday, April 9th.

  • PRICING: Includes daily breakfast, 3 dinners and all activities and classes. Deposit of $100 due at time of booking. Payment plans available. Select your payment and room selection based on the drop down menu below.

      • Payment plan options include $100-$200 payment per month. To make payments, use the link below to pay in chosen increments. Payment in full by retreat departure. Monthly payments vary based on when sign up happens and room type. We will check in monthly  as a reminder about payments if one has not occured. 


This package does not include:

  • Airfare

  • Ground transfer to the resort. See here for more details on getting there. Moving closer to the retreat dates we will email to coordinate travel together for people who chose to do so

  • Other meals | $100-$150 should cover this for the week based on your eating preference



A retreat focusing on and exploring how to blend aspects of your yoga practice into your day-to-day life. We will explore how to integrate meditation, sequencing and even the deeper layers of sensation through daily yoga practice, workshop-style classes, nature walks and ritual. You get to enjoy everything you would on a yoga retreat but with a special bonus of leaving the retreat ready to bring all the qualities of yoga back home with you and wherever you go.
